Show HN: Strot – Compile an LLM's intent once, run decisions locally forever
AI InsightStrot explores compiling LLM intent into deterministic local runtimes at build time, marking a shift toward stripping away the high costs of dynamic LLM calls. By codifying semantic understanding into type-safe logic, this approach balances performance and cost in high-frequency decision scenarios.Key TakeawayStrot is shifting LLMs from dynamic runtime calls to compile-time deterministic local code synthesis. Why It MattersHigh inference costs and latency of LLMs have long been barriers to high-frequency system adoption. Achieving zero marginal cost local decisions via compile-time transformation could significantly broaden LLM application boundaries in edge and traditional backend systems.Who's Affected- BeneficiaryDevelopersCan integrate LLM capabilities into existing workflows at lower local running costs and with type safety.
- At RiskCloud ProvidersIf local compiled decision schemes gain traction, demand for high-frequency cloud LLM API calls may be diverted.
